I believe symptoms are meaningful signs of deeper inner conflicts and unprocessed pain. Trough an active and collaborative approach, in which you are the expert of your life, I help you uncover patterns and develop deeper understanding of the challenges you are facing.
My approach to therapy is warm, caring and nonjudgmental. I believe that trust, connection, curiosity - held within a meaningful therapeutic relationship - can lead to growth and change. With my supportive presence I will help you gain insight, find acceptance, and discover new ways of overcoming life's challenges.

Play is a child's natural language. It's how they make sense of the world, express their feelings, and work through what's hard. In play therapy, I create a safe and supportive space where children can explore and process their big emotions.
Parent involvement is at the heart of my work. I believe that children thrive when their caregivers feel supported, which is why we work closely together throughout the process. Together, we will build practical strategies to help navigate behavioral challenges, emotional struggles, family transitions, and other difficulties.

Parenting is one of the most meaningful and most challenging relationships we will ever have. And yet, so many of us were never taught how to navigate it with confidence and connection.
As a certified Parent Coach trained in the JAI Institute's Transformational Parenting Method, I work with parents to explore how their own upbringing and attachment history shapes the way they show up for their children, especially in the hard moments. This isn't about blame or shame. It's about awareness, growth, and breaking cycles that no longer serve your family.
Drawing on attachment science, brain development, emotional intelligence, and non-violent communication, I help you move away from power struggles and toward a more connected, peaceful, and empowered way of parenting. Together, we build practical tools and a deeper understanding of your child's needs — so that your home becomes a place of genuine cooperation, trust, and connection.

Becoming a parent is one of life's most profound transitions. The early weeks and months after birth can bring enormous joy alongside unexpected feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, grief, or disconnection.
I offer support to parents and their infants during this tender period. My work focuses on the relationship between you and your baby, the way you read each other, the moments of connection, misattunement, and what your infant might be communicating.
I hold space for your own emotional experience: the conscious and unconscious feelings that surface in new parenthood, and the ways your own early history shapes what you might be experiencing.
Together, we create space to understand the invisible threads of your family's story so that your relationship with your baby can take root in safety, attunement, and love.

About
As a parent of two young children living abroad, I have experienced firsthand the many challenges that parenting can bring. I remember feeling stuck, overwhelmed, helpless, and isolated. The preschool and elementary years were some of the most challenging times I’ve faced as a parent. Even though I had studied all the theory and read all the books, I often felt lost and exhausted. Reaching out for help was one of the best decisions I made and it is what drives my commitment to helping other parents, children, and adults find their way through life's harder chapters.
My work with children, parents, and individual adult clients is rooted in the belief in the power of connection and relationships; how they shape us, how they challenge us, and how they can heal us.
Every person is unique and my work always begins with you; your story, your history, your needs. There is no single approach that works for every individual, child or family. For children, I use play therapy to create a safe space where they can explore and express what words cannot yet hold. For parents, I draw on attachment science, brain development, and parent coaching to help you build a deeper connection with your child and navigate the challenges of family life with more confidence. For adults, my background in intergenerational processes and psychoanalytic thinking offers a meaningful framework for exploring how early experiences continue to shape who we are and how we can grow beyond them.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist in Belgium and have completed a Masters in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College in New York. I am a Certified Parent Coach and completed post graduate training in Parent-Infant Psychoanalysis at Columbia University.

I am an out-of-network provider. This means that I am not “paneled” with your insurance company, but if you have out-of-network mental health benefits on your plan, you may be entitled to partial reimbursement of the fee you pay your therapist out of pocket. Upon request, I will provide you with a detailed statement (a “superbill”) at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Out-of-Network Benefits: Questions to Ask
Below are some questions to ask your insurance provider, if you would like some clarity on exactly how much of your sessions will be covered:
What are my out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy?
Do I have a deductible?
Are there a limited number of sessions that are covered by my plan?
Do I need any type of prior authorization or referral?
Is telehealth covered at the same rate as in-person sessions?
How much (percentage of “allowable amount”) will I get reimbursed per visit when I see an out-of-network mental health provider?
What is the “allowable amount” for individual psychotherapy (CPT code: 90834) with a Mental Health Counselor in Brooklyn, NY (Zip code: 11216)? For couples therapy or family therapy (CPT code: 90847)?
